Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that education remains top priority for his administration.
He made this known during a Teach For Nigeria programme that went down in Lagos on Monday.
“The strides we are making with education in Lagos can only be achieved because education remains a top priority for our administration,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the education sector – and emphasized the dedication to providing unparalleled investments, funding, and infrastructure to enhance the sector.
The governor also noted that the state government is working in collaboration with TeachForNigeria to build a sustainable five-year programme to domesticate the initiative in Lagos State as the TeachForLagos project.
He stressed that his government is making efforts to recruit 275 Fellows into the teaching profession through the TeachForNigeria initiative across the State.
Similarly, he vowed that no child will be left behind as far as education is concerned.
He lauded the commitment and contributions of the TeachForNigeria Fellows for the successes achieved in the education sector.
